The scale requires two CR2032 lithium metal batteries. These are typically included and may be pre-installed. If not, or if replacing, locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

To turn the scale on, gently tap the പവർ നിയന്ത്രണം button (rightmost button with a circle and vertical line). The display will illuminate. To turn the scale off, tap and hold the പവർ നിയന്ത്രണം button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shut-off after five minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

To change the unit of measurement, tap the യൂണിറ്റ് നിയന്ത്രണം button (button with a droplet and 'UNIT'). The scale cycles through available units: ounces (oz), pounds + ounces (lb:oz), grams (g), fluid ounces (fl oz), and milliliters (ml).

The Tare feature allows you to reset the scale to zero weight, enabling you to measure multiple items consecutively or subtract the weight of a container. Place an empty container on the scale, then tap the TARE button (leftmost button). The display will reset to zero, and you can then add your ingredients to the container.
