  • Do not use the metal detector near airports or other sensitive areas where electromagnetic interference could cause issues.
  • Keep the device away from power lines to avoid electrical hazards and interference.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to protect the environment.
  • Always exercise caution when digging to avoid underground utilities or hazardous objects.

  1. Attach the search coil to the lower stem using the provided bolt and wing nut. Ensure it is securely fastened but not overtightened.
  2. Insert the lower stem into the middle stem, adjusting the length to a comfortable operating position.
  3. Slide the upper stem (with the control housing) onto the middle stem. Secure with the locking collar.
  4. Wrap the search coil cable around the stem, leaving enough slack for coil movement, and plug the connector into the control housing.

  • Locate the battery compartment on the control housing.
  • Insert one 9-volt alkaline battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

Press and hold the POWER button to turn the detector on or off. The LCD display will illuminate.

The Bounty Hunter LONE offers three distinct operating modes:

  • ഓൾ-മെറ്റൽ മോഡ്: Detects all types of metal without discrimination. This mode offers the greatest depth detection.
Allows the user to eliminate unwanted metals (e.g., iron trash) from detection. Use the touch pad selection to adjust discrimination levels.
  • Auto-Notch Mode: Automatically filters out common trash items while still detecting valuable targets.

Adjust the sensitivity using the dedicated control. Higher sensitivity increases detection depth but may also increase false signals in mineralized ground or areas with electromagnetic interference. Start with a moderate setting and adjust as needed.

4. 3-Tone Audio Discrimination

The detector provides three distinct audio tones to help identify target types:

  • താഴ്ന്ന ടോൺ: Typically indicates ferrous metals (iron, steel).
Often indicates small gold items, nickel, or pull tabs.
Usually indicates silver, copper, and larger brass items.

5. Search Coil Usage

Sweep the 8-inch waterproof search coil slowly and steadily from side to side, keeping it parallel to the ground and approximately 1-2 inches above the surface. Overlap each sweep by about half the coil's diameter.

A 0.25-inch headphone jack is provided for private listening and to better hear subtle target signals, especially in noisy environments.

Wipe down the control housing and stem with a damp cloth after each use. The search coil is waterproof and can be rinsed with fresh water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Store the detector in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove the 9-volt battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the search coil cable.

No power or erratic operationDead or improperly installed battery. Loose cable connection.Replace the 9-volt battery, ensuring correct polarity. Check all cable connections for tightness.
Constant false signals or chatteringHigh sensitivity setting. Electromagnetic interference (EMI). Mineralized ground.Reduce the sensitivity setting. Move away from power lines, cell phones, or other electronic devices. Try adjusting the ground balance if available (note: LONE model may not have manual ground balance, rely on auto-notch/discrimination).
Incorrect sweep speed. Discrimination set too high.Increase sensitivity gradually. Sweep the coil slower and more steadily. Ensure the detector is in All-Metal mode for maximum depth, or adjust discrimination levels.
No audio responseHeadphones not plugged in correctly or faulty. Volume too low.Check headphone connection. Ensure volume is at an audible level. Test with different headphones if possible.
