The HOWAY Mini Dehumidifier requires no initial setup other than ensuring it is fully dry before its first use. The indicator window will show blue beads when dry and ready for use.

• Unpack the dehumidifier from its packaging.
• Check the indicator window on the front of the unit. If the beads are blue, the unit is ready to absorb moisture. If they are pink, the unit needs to be recharged (see Section 4.2).
• Identify the hanging hook slot on the top of the unit if you plan to hang it.

4.1 Moisture Absorption

Place the dehumidifier in any enclosed space where moisture is a concern. Common applications include:

• Gun safes
• Closets and wardrobes
• Cabinets and pantries
• Bathrooms (non-shower areas)
• Bookcases and electronic storage
• Cars, RVs, and boats
• Storage boxes and bags

The unit will silently absorb moisture from the air. The indicator window will gradually change color from blue to pink as it becomes saturated. The dehumidifier can remove up to 6 ounces (170ml) of water per charge.

4.2 Regeneration (Recharging)

When the indicator window shows pink beads, the dehumidifier has absorbed its maximum capacity and needs to be regenerated. This process typically takes 10-20 days depending on ambient humidity.

1. Locate the power input port on the side of the dehumidifier.
2. Connect the provided power cord to the dehumidifier and then plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet.

4. Allow the unit to charge for 12-15 hours. During this time, the silica gel beads will heat up and release the absorbed moisture, turning back to blue.
5. Once the beads are blue, unplug the unit. It is now ready for reuse.
