This compact device integrates an Optical Power Meter (OPM), Visual Fault Locator (VFL), LED light, and a network cable test function, making it an essential tool for fiber optic professionals.

Upon receiving your Signal Fire tester, carefully unpack all components and inspect for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

The device is equipped with a built-in lithium battery. Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged. Use the provided Type-C cable to connect the device to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port).

3.1 Optical Power Meter (OPM) Function

The OPM function measures the optical power of fiber optic signals. It supports various wavelengths and connector types.

2. Connect the fiber optic cable to the OPM port using the appropriate 2.5mm universal connector (FC/SC/ST adapters are supported).

5. To set a reference value (REF), press and hold the REF button for more than 2 seconds. This is useful for relative power measurements.

The VFL emits a visible red laser light into the fiber to help locate breaks, bends, or poor connections. It can easily penetrate long-distance optical fibers.

3.3 Network Cable Test Function

The device can also perform basic network cable testing for RJ-45 connectors.

2. Connect one end of the RJ-45 network cable to the RJ-45 port on the device.
3. Connect the other end of the RJ-45 network cable to the remote unit (if applicable, or loopback if testing a single cable).

3.4 Data Storage and View

The device has a large storage capacity, capable of storing up to 500 loop coverage records.

3.5 Backlight and Lighting Function

The device features a backlight for the display and a built-in LED lighting function for use in low-light conditions.

• To toggle the backlight, press the ഓൺ/ഓഫ് button briefly (less than 2 seconds).
• To activate the LED light, press the dedicated light button (often indicated by a flashlight icon).
