1. Lancet Device Preparation:
   • Unscrew the lancet adjustment head.
   • Insert a new blood collection needle into the needle hub. Screw off the lancet cap vertically without moving it left or right to prevent bending.
   • Rescrew the lancet adjustment head back on.
   • Adjust the lancet depth. It is recommended to start with setting '2'. For thicker skin, you may switch to a higher number.
   • Pull the lancet handle backward until you hear a "click" sound. The lancet device is now set up.
2. Instrument Preparation (Code Card & Test Strip):
   • Ensure the URIT Lipid Analyzer is powered off.
   • Insert the code card into the analyzer's code card slot. The device will power on and display a code.
   • Verify that the calibration code displayed on the screen matches the code printed on the test strip box. If they do not match, do not proceed and contact customer support.
   • Take one test strip from the container and immediately close the container cap tightly. Use pre-packaged test strips within 3 months of opening.
   • With the blood collection port facing upwards, insert the test strip into the test strip slot of the analyzer. The screen will flash a blood drop symbol, indicating blood collection is required.

Once the device and test strip are prepared, proceed with blood collection and testing:

1. Blood Collection:
   • Clean and dry your hands thoroughly before blood collection. It is recommended to use the ring or middle fingers for blood collection.
   • Place the tip of the lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip (to reduce pain).
   • Press the eject button on the lancing device to collect blood.
   • Gently press around the fingertip to increase the amount of blood drawn, forming a sufficient blood droplet.
