• Ensure all safety locks are engaged before working under the lift.

Installation of the APlusLift HW-8S requires careful attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. It is recommended to have at least two individuals for assembly due to the weight of the components. A forklift or similar equipment is required for unloading the lift from the freight truck.

• Verify adequate overhead clearance for the lift's maximum height (84 inches) and the vehicle being lifted.

6. Install the safety lock mechanisms on each post.
7. Attach the removable approach ramps.
8. Perform initial functional tests without a load to ensure smooth operation and proper engagement of safety locks.

1. Position the vehicle centrally on the runways, ensuring even weight distribution.
2. Ensure the vehicle's parking brake is engaged and the transmission is in park (automatic) or a low gear (manual).
3. Connect the power cord to the 110V outlet.
4. Press and hold the "UP" button on the hydraulic power unit to raise the lift.
5. Raise the lift to the desired working height or storage position.
6. Once at the desired height, lower the lift slightly until the safety locks engage. Listen for the audible click of the locks.
7. Release the "UP" button. The lift should now rest securely on the safety locks.
8. Always ensure the lift is resting on the safety locks before working under the vehicle or storing a second vehicle underneath.

1. Ensure the area around and under the lift is clear of obstructions and personnel.
2. Slightly raise the lift by pressing the "UP" button to disengage the safety locks.
3. Activate the safety lock release mechanism (typically a lever or handle).

5. Continue lowering until the runways are fully on the ground.
6. Once fully lowered, remove the vehicle from the lift.

5.3 Using the Caster Kit

The included caster kit allows for easy repositioning of the lift when it is unloaded. To use the caster kit:

1. Ensure the lift is fully lowered and no vehicles are on the runways.
2. Insert the caster wheels into the designated slots on each post.
3. Use the hydraulic power unit to slightly raise the lift, allowing it to rest on the caster wheels.
4. Carefully push the lift to its new desired location.
5. Once repositioned, lower the lift back onto its base plates and remove the caster wheels.
