It integrates seamlessly with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life mobile applications, allowing for smart automation and detailed energy statistics. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, setup, and operation of your energy meter.
Important Note: This device requires a Tuya ZigBee Gateway (Hub) to connect and is not compatible with Zigbee Home Assistant or other non-Tuya applications.

5.1. ആപ്പ് ഡൗൺലോഡ്
To use the energy meter, you need the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application. Scan the QR codes below or search for 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' in your device's App Store, Google Play, or Android Market.
5.2. ZigBee Gateway Requirement
This energy meter communicates via ZigBee protocol. Therefore, a Tuya ZigBee Gateway (Hub) is required and must be configured with the app before adding this ZigBee Meter. The device cannot directly connect to 2.4G WiFi signals.

Follow these steps to add the energy meter to your app:
- Ensure your ZigBee Gateway is powered on and connected to the app.
- Power on the MatSee Plus ZigBee Energy Meter.
- Press and hold the reset button on the energy meter for approximately 5 seconds until the red LED light flashes quickly. This indicates pairing mode.
- In the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, navigate to your ZigBee Gateway and select 'Add subdevice'.
- Confirm that the LED is blinking in the app and proceed with the discovery process.
- Once the device is discovered and added, click 'DONE'.

The energy meter is designed for easy installation and can be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail.

Before proceeding with wiring, ensure the main power supply is turned OFF at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.
Important Note for CT Clamp: Please only put ONE wire (either live wire or neutral wire) into the current transformer clamp. Do NOT put both wires together, otherwise the reading value will be zero.

7.3. Automation and Scene Creation
The energy meter can be integrated into smart home automation routines with other Tuya-compatible devices. You can set up scenes where, for example, if the monitored power or current exceeds a certain value, another Tuya device is triggered to turn on or off.

You can configure the app to send notifications based on specific conditions, such as when the current of the monitored device drops to zero, indicating it has been turned off.

- Keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposure to dust, dirt, and moisture.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Wipe it with a soft, damp തുണി.
- Regularly check the wiring connections to ensure they are secure.

9.1. App shows 'Device is power off' or 'shutdown'
This message appears if the current transformer clamp is not properly installed or if the monitored device is not drawing power. Ensure that:
- Only one wire (either live or neutral) is placed inside the CT clamp.
- The monitored device is turned on and actively consuming electricity.
9.2. Incorrect Power Readings (P ≠ U*I)
The power reading (P) may not directly equal Voltage (U) multiplied by Current (I) due to the power factor (cos(Φ)). Real power is calculated as P = V * I * cos(Φ) Watts (W). The device measures real power, which accounts for the phase difference between voltage and current in AC circuits.
9.3. Device fails to pair with the ZigBee Gateway
- Ensure the ZigBee Gateway is powered on and within range of the energy meter.
- Verify that the energy meter's LED is blinking rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode. If not, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
- Confirm you are using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and a compatible Tuya ZigBee Gateway.
- If issues persist, try resetting both the gateway and the energy meter and attempt pairing again.
