- To switch between cable types (8P8C, 4P4C, phone lines, BNC), use the appropriate buttons.

5.2.1 Analogue Tracing (Red Light, Channel 1 & 3)
- Insert the network cable into the 'MAIN' socket on the emitter.

- Use the receiver (wire tracker) and press its 'MODE' button to select the red light mode.
- Adjust the sound size of the receiver using the adjusting wheel to locate the cable.
5.2.2 Digital Tracing (Blue Light, Channel 2)
- Insert the network cable into the 'MAIN' socket on the emitter.
- Press 'SCAN' to select channel 2 to enter the digital cable searching state.
- Use the receiver and press its 'MODE' button to select the blue light mode.
- Adjust the sensitivity using the adjusting wheel.
- For ET618, the receiver will also vibrate when the line is pressed, indicating the cable.

- The display will show the ID of the connected remote unit, allowing you to identify each cable.
5.6 Multimeter Functions (ET618 Only)
The ET618 model includes a full-featured digital multimeter. Connect the multimeter probes to the DMM Input Jack on the main unit.

8.1 Changing Measurement Units (ET618)
For the ET618 model, it is possible to switch the cable length measurement unit between meters (M) and inches (Inch). Refer to the user manual's 'Cable Length Test' section for specific button presses or menu options to toggle this setting.
