4.1. Step 1: Download and Install the App

The camera operates with the "iCSee" application. You can download it by:

• Scanning the QR code provided in the full user manual PDF.
• Searching for "iCSee" in your device's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

4.2. Step 2: Power On the Camera

Connect the camera to the power adapter and plug it into an electrical outlet. The device will power on and emit a voice message: "system starting up, wait to be configured, Wait for the connection, please configure the network according to the Instructions."

4.3. Step 3: Configure the Camera Network

The camera supports both WiFi and LAN cable connections. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz is not supported directly, but may work if your router uses the same SSID for both bands).

4.3.1. Bluetooth Network Configuration (if supported)

1. Connect your phone to a WiFi network and turn on Bluetooth.
2. Open the iCSee app, register an account, and log in.
3. After successful login, click the "+" button in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Click on the main interface to search for found devices. (If the camera is not found, turn your phone's Bluetooth off for 5 seconds and then back on, then search again. Alternatively, long-press the camera's Reset button to reset and search again.)
5. Enter your wireless router password and click "Confirm".
6. Wait for the camera network configuration. When the camera emits the voice message "connecting, please wait, connect router successfully", the network configuration is successful.
7. After successful network configuration, set a name for your camera.
8. Follow the app interface to complete the setup. The device will appear in the device list. Click to open the real-time preview screen and access settings.

4.3.2. WiFi Network Configuration (if Bluetooth fails or not supported)

5.3. Motion Detection Alarm

When the camera detects an object or motion, it will automatically trigger an alarm and send a text message notification to your linked device via the iCSee app.

This WiFi camera supports the ONVIF protocol, making it compatible with third-party Network Video Recorders (NVRs). For optimal compatibility, it is recommended to use it with NVRs that also support ONVIF, such as those from Dahua, Hikvision, or XM.

Q: Is a 5G router supported?

A: The camera's wireless LAN supports IEEE802.11n Standard 2.4Ghz and does not directly support 5G. However:

• If your 5G router uses the same connection hotspot (SSID) for both 5G and 2.4G bands, you can connect directly.
• If your 5G and 2.4G networks have different SSIDs (e.g., "MyWiFi-2.4G" and "MyWiFi-5G"), ensure your mobile phone is connected to the 2.4G hotspot (e.g., "MyWiFi-2.4G") before configuring the camera.
