ചിത്രം: മുൻഭാഗം view of the Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Pedal, showing the MODE switch, THRESHOLD and DECAY knobs, IN, OUT, SEND, and RETURN jacks, and the footswitch.
3.1. MODE Switch
This switch selects between
When activated, the pedal acts as a silent on/off switch for your instrument.
Engages the noise reduction circuit, allowing you to control the noise gate parameters.
3.2. THRESHOLD Knob
Controls the level at which the noise reduction circuit activates. Turn clockwise to increase the threshold, meaning only louder signals will pass through. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease the threshold, allowing quieter signals to pass.
3.3. DECAY Knob
Adjusts how quickly the noise reduction circuit closes after the signal drops below the threshold. A higher decay setting (clockwise) results in a slower fade-out, while a lower setting (counter-clockwise) provides a faster, more abrupt cut-off.
3.4. IN Jack
Connect your instrument or the output of a preceding effects pedal to this 1/4" TS input.
3.5. OUT Jack
Connect this 1/4" TS output to your amplifier or the input of the next effects pedal in your chain.
3.6. SEND Jack
This 1/4" TS output is part of the external effects loop. Connect this to the input of an effects unit you wish to place within the noise reduction loop (e.g., a distortion pedal).
3.7. RETURN Jack
This 1/4" TS input is part of the external effects loop. Connect the output of the effects unit from the SEND loop to this jack.
Activates or deactivates the pedal's effect. The blue status LED indicates the pedal's active state.
3.9. DC IN ജാക്ക്
Connect an optional 9V DC power supply (not included) to this jack. Ensure the power supply has a center-negative polarity.
The NR300 can be powered by a 9V battery or an optional 9V DC power supply (BEHRINGER PSU-SB recommended, not included).
To install a 9V battery, press the hinges at the front of the footswitch to open the pedal. Insert the 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the pedal securely.
4.1.2. External Power Supply
If using an external power supply, connect it to the DC IN jack. Disconnect the input cable from the IN jack when not in use to conserve battery life if operating on battery power.
4.2. Connecting the Pedal
IN jack of the NR300. Connect the പുറത്ത് jack of the NR300 to your ampലിഫയറിന്റെ ഇൻപുട്ട് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സിഗ്നൽ ശൃംഖലയിലെ അടുത്ത പെഡൽ.
4.3. Using the Send/Return Loop
For optimal noise reduction, especially with high-gain effects, utilize the Send/Return loop. Connect the അയയ്ക്കുക jack to the input of your noisy effects pedal (e.g., distortion, overdrive). Connect the output of that effects pedal to the മടങ്ങുക jack of the NR300. This allows the NR300 to gate the noise generated by the effects unit itself.
The NR300 offers two primary modes of operation: Reduction and Mute.
5.1. Reduction Mode
In this mode, the pedal functions as a noise gate. Adjust the ത്രെഷോൾഡ് ഒപ്പം ക്ഷയം knobs to achieve the desired noise reduction without cutting off your notes prematurely.
- ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ആരംഭിക്കുക ത്രെഷോൾഡ് knob at its minimum setting.
- While playing, slowly increase the ത്രെഷോൾഡ് until the unwanted noise (hum, hiss) is eliminated when you stop playing.
- ക്രമീകരിക്കുക ക്ഷയം knob. A shorter decay (counter-clockwise) will cut off the sound more abruptly, while a longer decay (clockwise) will allow notes to fade out more naturally before the gate closes. Find a balance that suits your playing style and instrument.
In this mode, the pedal acts as a silent kill switch. Pressing the footswitch will completely mute your instrument's signal, useful for silent tuning or switching instruments.
The blue LED indicates the pedal's status:
- ഓൺ: Effect is active.
Effect is bypassed.
- Dim or Flashing: Indicates a low battery. Replace the 9V battery promptly.
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Behringer NR300 pedal, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the pedal clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- If operating on battery power, remove the battery if the pedal will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Handle all cables and connectors with care to prevent damage.
|---|---|---|
| No sound when pedal is active. | Incorrect Threshold setting; Pedal in Mute mode; Dead battery/No power. | Lower the THRESHOLD knob. Check MODE switch is in REDUCTION. Replace battery or connect power supply. Check all cable connections. |
| Noise/Hum still present. | Threshold too low; External noise source; Ground loop. | Increase the THRESHOLD knob. Ensure all cables are properly shielded. Try using the Send/Return loop for noisy effects. Check for ground loops in your setup. |
| Notes cut off prematurely. | Threshold too high; Decay too short. | Lower the THRESHOLD knob. Increase the DECAY knob. |
| LED is dim or flashing. | |
