  3. Stretch and Wrap: While wrapping, stretch the tape to approximately twice its original length. This stretching activates the self-fusing properties. Wrap the tape tightly around the repair area, overlapping each wrap by at least half the width of the tape. Continue wrapping until you have covered the entire repair area, extending at least one inch past the end of the damage.
