- Place the empty permanent filter and filter basket into position, and ensure the empty carafe is on the warming plate.
- Turn on the coffee maker and let it complete half of a brewing cycle.
- Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes to allow the descaling solution to work.
