The Mastercraft Digital Temperature Reader requires one D battery (included) for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment on the handle of the device (G in Figure 1).
- Open the battery compartment cover by sliding or unlatching it.
- Insert the D battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.

- Release the trigger to hold the last measured temperature on the display. The device will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Changing Temperature Units (°C/°F)
