Accurate calibration is crucial for precise measurements. The DT-156 supports several calibration methods.

Zero calibration establishes a baseline for measurements. Place the probe directly onto the bare metal substrate (iron or aluminum, depending on the material to be measured) without any coating. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform zero calibration.
5.2 One-Point and Two-Point Calibration
These calibrations use the provided calibration foils to ensure accuracy across a range of thicknesses. They can be performed independently for each working mode (Direct or Group).
- Select the desired calibration option from the MENU.
- Place a calibration foil of known thickness onto the appropriate substrate.
- Apply the probe to the center of the foil.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration. For two-point calibration, you will repeat this process with a second foil of a different thickness.

7.3 PC Software and USB Interface
The DT-156 includes a USB interface and accompanying CD software for data transfer and analysis on a PC. The software is compatible with Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista/Win7 operating systems. Connect the device to your computer using the provided USB cable and install the software from the CD to access stored data and generate reports.
