Welcome to the user manual for your Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, model BVMC-FBX39. This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and care of your new coffeemaker. Open the top lid of the coffeemaker. Fill the glass carafe with fresh, cold water to your desired number of cups (up to 12 cups). Pour the water into the water reservoir. The transparent water window on the side allows you to see the exact water level, preventing overflows.
- Adding Coffee Grounds and Filter:

Swing open the front-loading brew basket. Place a #6 cone-style paper filter or the included reusable filter into the brew basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee using the included scoop. A general guideline is one full scoop per cup of water. Close the brew basket securely.

Basic Brewing
After completing the setup steps, ensure the carafe is placed correctly on the warming plate. Press the Select/Off button to begin brewing. The coffeemaker's Precision Water System will evenly presoak the grounds to extract full flavor.

- Fill the water reservoir with 4 cups of undiluted white vinegar.
- Place an empty paper filter in the brew basket and close it.

- Start a regular brew cycle. After about 30 seconds, turn the coffeemaker off.

- Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.

- Coffee not brewing fully or weak coffee: Ensure the water reservoir is filled to the correct level. Check that the brew basket is properly seated and the filter is not clogged. Use the appropriate amount of coffee grounds for the desired strength. Regular descaling can also improve brewing performance.
- Bright indicator lights: Some users may find certain indicator lights to be very bright. While this is a design feature, if it causes discomfort, you may need to manually turn off the coffeemaker after brewing if the light remains on.
- Buttons not responding or feeling loose: Ensure the coffeemaker is properly plugged in. If buttons become unresponsive or feel loose, this may indicate an internal component issue. Contact customer support for assistance.
- Water remaining in carafe after pouring: Some carafe designs may retain a small amount of water due to internal baffles. This is generally normal and does not affect coffee taste or machine function.
