2.1 Winding the Bobbin and Throat Plate

- Stop winding when the bobbin is full and cut the thread.
Throat Plate Removal and Replacement:
The throat plate may need to be removed for cleaning or to access the bobbin case. To remove, set the needle bar to its highest position and the presser foot lifter to its highest position. Locate the "Unlock" position for removal. To replace, align the plate and secure it into the "Lock" position. Ensure it is firmly seated before sewing.

3.1 Combination Patterns and Variations

The length of the cutting space for a buttonhole is determined by the width and thickness of the button. The length of the finished buttonhole will be the cutting space plus 1/8 inch for bar tacks. It is recommended to practice on a scrap piece of fabric similar to your garment to ensure correct sizing and appearance.
